This book includes survivors of sexual abuse personal stories in an aim to encourage female victims in particular to open up and share their stories with counsellors and others around them. The aim of the book is to transform the culture of shame and secrecy that surrounds abuse. Personal stories are interspersed with counselling and information about the myths and misconceptions abuse victims may have about their own experiences.
